Welcome to safer-recruitment.com, a unique on-line facility created for use across
all sectors and professions, enabling individuals to complete a CRB Disclosure application
form fully and accurately and Registered and Umbrella Bodies to manage their Disclosure
process securely and efficiently.
Posts or roles that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) are
subject to a CRB Disclosure check which the 'safer-recruitment' system offers a
fast and accurate way of completing and processing. Exemptions extend to both paid
employment and voluntary work for roles in sectors such as education, health, sport
and leisure.
If this is the first time you have been invited to use the 'safer-recruitment' system,
you will first need to create an account via the 'Log In' page. Once you have done
this and for all subsequent forms you are invited to complete on-line, the first
screen will ask you to enter the unique position code issued by the 'requesting
organisation' you have applied to work or volunteer for.

The on-line form takes an average of 90 seconds to complete and along with the requirement
to enter personal data and information, you will be asked to confirm the appropriate
combination of original documents you will provide in person to the requesting organisation
in order to prove your identity.
The CRB has developed a guide that may answer some of the questions you may have
about why you are required to complete and submit a Disclosure application called
Applicant's Guide to the CRB's
Disclosure Service (DIP 017) available via this link.
If you have any queries about the post or role you are applying for, please contact
the named individual on the documentation sent out by the requesting organisation.
If you are worried or concerned about what may be or has been revealed by your CRB
check you can talk in confidence to the Nacro helpline. Nacro is a crime reduction
